Many factors can affect how well different treatments work for each person.

With new therapies available, doctors need to carefully weigh the risks and benefits of each treatment option. However, because each person is unique — with different health conditions, genetic traits, and personal circumstances — there isn’t a single test that determines the best treatment for each person.

Beyond medical factors, a patient’s quality of life, personal preferences, ability to manage daily activities, social support, and access to palliative care should also play a role in these decisions.
