Cancer Patients Finland is a national not-for-profit organisation and represents all cancer patients in Finland.
The aim of the Association is to safeguard the best possible support for cancer patients and their loved ones during treatment and rehabilitation. The Association is active in patient advocacy and involved in national HTA processes. We produce patient guide booklets, coordinate online peer support and bring the patient voice into the discussion in the Finnish society through our advocacy work.
Our association aims to see patients empowered in participating in their care as well as in advocating for cancer patients. In addition, we also want to look for the interests of those who do not have the power or ability to do it themselves and advocate for equal and state of the art cancer care and support in Finland.
We have cancer-specific patient networks, incl. hematological cancers, offering peer support and information for patients and their loved ones, and patient guide booklets specifically aimed at hematological cancer patients, such as CML, CLL, MPN, myeloma etc. We also arrange webinars and other events for patients and their families.
