Campaigning for Cancer (South Africa) have released two new infographics, one directed to general public and disclosing the signs and symptoms of leukemia, while the second one is directed to persons who have recently been diagnosed with leukemia.

HULL (Croatia) have released their brochure on acute leukemia dedicated to patients and their families.
Asopaleu (Guatemala) is organizing an virtual event on saturday 3rd September with leukemia experts. They delivered kits to patients and “thank you” gifts to doctors:
300 kit with mask and antibacterial gel
300 bottles of water
75 gifts for doctors, nurses, secretaries, psychologists and psychiatrists.
Blood Cancer Society Nepal (Nepal) is organizing an awareness programme at hospital with doctors, nurses and patients.

We Blood Cancer Society Nepal organized “World Leukemia day” on 4th of September 2022 in association with ALAN, (Acute Leukemia Advocate Network, Switzerland ), support from Patan Hospital, Lalitpur, Lagankhel. First of all I ( Krishna Prasad Upadhyaya, ( Vice Chairman ) Blood Cancer Society Nepal welcome to all the delegates, survivors, their caregivers, relatives, doctors and pharmacist. Then introduced about the programme, requested to take their seat and to chair the session by Shova Karki ( Chief Account ) Blood Cancer Society Nepal. After chairing the session, started the programme. In the programme Dr. Gyan Kayastha, Dr. Mipsang Lama and Dr. Arun Shahi was invited and present at the programme. I requested Dr. Gyan Kayastha to deliver his speech. He gave a talk about leukemia: What is it , how it affect, what is the symptoms and difference between acute and chronic types of leukemia and treatments, followed by a Q&A. Patients asked about their treatment facing problem. All the question were answer by Dr. Mipsang Lama and Dr. Arun Shahi. Session was so useful to the patients. All the patients were so happy with the programme. Pharmacist Mr. Raj Kumar Thapa was also present at the programme. He also deliver his speech about the procedure about the delivery of the medicine at the hospital. He also express his views on the official procedure which is so critical to exempt from custom duty in delivering the medicine from the custom office which is donation to Nepalese survival of Cancer by The max Foundation. This is the first meeting after Covid- 19 with face to face. We were not able to conduct a meeting in face to face for about three years because of Covid -19. Zoom meeting were conducted during the Covid-19. After the question answer session the programme going to be end. After end of the programme Chair Person Ms Shova Karki (Chair Account, Blood cancer Society Nepal ) address the session with vote of thanks and ended the programme. I was the announcer of the programme and I also express my view on what is Cancer, how it forms, types of cancer its prevention and treatment etc. Tea was served after the end of the programme to all the participants. Mrs. Sweta Agrawal, Representative of The Max Foundation was also present at the programme. In total 70 participants were present at the programme. Online media person were also present.
Association AMAL (Morocco) translated some materials into arabic and created a roll up banner and some materials to be distributed.
Diagnoza leukemie (Czech Republic) organized WLD patient conference that took place in the University town of Brno. Patients had the opportunity to hear lectures from leading country leukemia experts and, one junior doctor presenting a complicated case-study of a patient who was well managed. A lively debate followed which means people were aware of a unique opportunity to get most information out of the event. Jana presented activities of global leukemia networks to let people know we are part of a wider patient community, as well as giving patient perspective in CLL monography and an update on ALL research EU project where Czech scientists will take part.
